La Costa Communities
La Costa is one of the earlier developments in Carlsbad, and is well known for its mature estate homes, many of which were built in the 1970’s & 1980’s. - The Carlsbad Flower Fields are also nearby, and are a favorite location for those who love vibrant colors and that arboretum feel. Grown and maintained every year by our local Armstrong Nursery, the U.S. Flower flag is one of the main attractions you’ll see at this local site.
- The modern Carlsbad Dove Library is at the south end of the Aviara Community, and is a favorite to young and old.
- Looking for groceries, restaurants, movie theatres, coffee shops and more? La Costa has two excellent locations. In the northern direction is the Von’s shopping center, which boasts many specialty stores and an Ultrastar 6 Movie Theatre. To the south is the Albertsons shopping center, boasting several restaurants & specialty shopts.
- Stagecoach Park
is quite the attraction itself, and is home to several baseball/softball
fields, two basketball courts, a playplace and picnic area, and
don’t forget the full size soccer field. The panoramic
views of the rolling hills (as seen from the park) are spectacular.
