Poinsettia
Park is a wonderful community full of homes with many ocean views,
rolling hills and surrounds its namesake, Poinsettia Park. Many
of the communities are relatively new, from The Cove which was built
in the early 90’s to the Bay Collection whose final phases
have been released in late 2006. Clearly it is one of Carlsbad’s
hidden gems, just minutes to the coast.

Some
of the surrounding amenities you’ll find around Poinsettia
Park are:
• Award
winning Pacific Rim Elementary hosts grades K through 5, and is
known for having outstanding teachers and a parent group who are
very much involved with the school faculty.
• Carlsbad
Outlet Mall boasts over 110 stores and restaurants, and is a favorite
shopping area for those North County residents looking for quality
merchandise at a discount price. The Outlet Mall is approximately
one mile from Poinsettia Park.
- The
World Famous Carlsbad Flower Fields are a favorite location for
those who love vibrant colors and that arboretum feel. Grown
and maintained every year by our local Armstrong Nursery, the U.S.
Flower flag is one of the main attractions you’ll see at
this local site.
- The
modern Carlsbad Dove Library is just a few miles to the south on
the outskirts of the Aviara Community, and is a favorite to young
and old.
- Looking
for groceries, restaurants, movie theatres, coffee shops and more? Poinsettia
Park has two excellent locations. The Ralph’s shopping
location is just a few minutes away at the intersection of Poinsettia
and Avenida Encinas. And just a few minutes in the southern
direction is the Von’s location which boasts even more shops
and an Ultrastar 6 Movie Theatre.
- Just
to the north and in full view of several Poinsettia Park neighborhoods
is the new Carlsbad Community Golf Course, scheduled for opening
in the summer of 2007
- Poinsettia
Park itself is quite the attraction itself, and is home to 3 baseball/softball
fields, two basketball courts, two tennis courts, a playplace and
picnic area, and don’t forget the full size soccer field
which is laid in Astroturf. Poinsettia Park also has plans
to add more tennis courts and a community center in the future.
